Bristol City Council have appointed Foreground to commission an artist to create a public artwork for St Agnes Park in St Paul’s.
Foreground have appointed Graham Fagen to work on the commission. Much of Graham Fagen’s work looks at the disconnection between a personal and national, historical and contemporary identity. Using sculpture, photography, written plays and theatrical and musical performance, he often focuses on the means of communication within a culture, and how it is transformed when taken out of it original context. Graham will be beginning work this summer and the project is due to be completed in March 2010.
